Ipad playing &Tile descriptions

I play on my laptop. When I hover over tiles, a description of its effects comes up. I just played with my husband who was using an Ipad. We can't figure out how to make the descriptions available for him to read. Help please?

For me on my phone, pressing and holding my finger on the tile brings up the description. Hopefully this works for you on an iPad too

If you scroll down on the ipad screen, all tiles are listed and you can click them for a full explanation. Works for me on ipad mini!
It’s called tile help section.
