Hello All, Version 1.1 of the BH1 Vale of Eternity expansion has been released in English and French on BGG.com. Italian and German versions are also underway and additional languages may be added on request. Cards have been designed, playtested, and reviewed by experienced Vale of Eternity players over a 1 year timeline. Made for our own personal enjoyment in Vancouver, B.C. and shared on BGG for others to enjoy too. We prefer playing these cards over either expansion and I am quite proud of how well balanced and interesting the cards are while keeping the same complexity. The cards were designed to synergize with the base 70 cards in new and interesting ways so there are plenty of strong combos and "vertical synergy" that these cards unlock. We have also been very careful to consider the ratios of card effects for stone production/economy, scoring, versatility versus niche and relevance into the middle and late game to minimize the effect of dilution.
It is incredibly unlikely, but there is a small chance that this expansion could eventually become an official expansion or available on BGA.com if it is popular enough. I would need lots of engagement from the Vale of Eternity community to make it happen. A BGA.com release as an early preview could potentially be viable since it only requires art resources and programming costs, no upfront printing cost so technically it is possible.
If anyone ever prints these cards and uses them in person, please let me know how it goes.
