A waste of time: Unfair Karma penalties...

I had multiple chances at Earth to get the Elo 1 badge. The first time, I was Alread in in first place, but I had backed into that spot because number 1 had lost and dropped below me. The badge is not awarded this way; the player who attains first place this way must complete one game. I was matched against a tough player, but one I had done well against in the past. I lost by one point, 224-223. I later came to learn that I had a slightly better final play, a convoluted series of actions that would have gained 60 points instead of 58, or something like that. So, I had it, had the winning move for the Elo 1 badge, but when the final round involves numerous complex actions and decisions, even the best can miss that perfect sequence.

Yeah, that's the game we talked about. Details often make all the difference when playing those highly important games. The funny thing is that sometimes when we play under pressure we actually do worse than if it was a more "random" game and we were playing more liberated.

Anyway, I hope you'll get there eventually.

I just want to say, your attitude in this entire thread stinks. You have to make personal attacks against anybody who disagrees with you. You need to recognize that not everybody has the same priorities as you at the same time as you.

Oh, and you are more obsessed with grass than a landscaper. What is up with that?

Many games would end by the weekend if folks played during the week. WTF are you joining my MOnday 0800 4 move a day created game for if you cant play? Cater to me? because I'm a level headed grass toucher. Reread what i wrote after touching a bit of relaxing grass. Thanks.

Anyway: from Monday 0800 in your timezone to Friday 1700 in Australia or something, gives less than 20 turns at the rate of 4 moves per day. How many games do you know wrap up in 20 turns or less? I can think of a few, but it's not many. Maybe you need to recognize that people joining a 4x table and playing at 4x are within their rights, and the game will not wrap up by the weekend. And then, over the weekend, they are within their rights to expect timely play. So you either need to start tables that are quite a bit faster (to end it in less than a 4½ days) or quite a bit slower (so you don't time out over the weekend).

And then, over the weekend, they are within their rights to expect timely play. Maybe they are under the common misperception that the setting of 4 turns per day means 4 turns per day for each person?

Maybe some people like to make moves on the weekend and tough grass during the week. Or, maybe people like to touch grass every day of the week and can somehow miraculously find ways to do that while also making an occasional move in a board game to not run out of time.

Before recent life circumstances made things difficult, I used to get outdoor exercise almost every day (touching grass !) and indoor exercise.

And, making a few moves in the process (to avoid forfeiting a 4x moves per day game speed) would not have been an issue.
