Couldn't play a bomb

So I had 3 5 7 9 in hand and couldn't play it over a regular trick? I don't think there's a scenario where that should be possible.

Also I won the last round with enough points to win the game but the other player randomly got some extra score and won the game with that? I'm super confused.

I've only played one game of it, can I pop the logs up? We were playing the old scoring method.

Ah no I see it now. The bomb has to be one of each suit to count.

I'm still unsure why they got the extra points at the end though, that I can't explain - the loser of a round should score no points.

Alright I have it. From what I can see the end of game was triggered by the number of ROUNDS not the points. My opponent got 254 first and I just didn't notice.
