How do you like your tournaments?

I'm going to create 6 monthly Arboretum tournaments. I've not created tournaments before and I'd like to hear what format people prefer and if there are any options I can tweak to make it better. I've initially gone for the same format as the recent world cup, as that seemed to go well but registration isn't open yet so I can change if. TIA

I think I like round robins with card games more. I don't think there's a lot of luck to Arboretum, but any card game you can get hurt by the deck giving you the exact wrong cards. A round robin round reduces that a lot.

I was hoping for tournaments more like every 3 months. Maybe we alternate?

Thanks for replying. May be I should think about changing to round Robin. I chose elimination because I know some people get overwhelmed with the simultaneous games in round robin, and also I noticed the world cup got more sign ups, so i wondered if that was a factor i.e.people prefer single elimination (I would really like to hear from more people!)
I was planning to run a tournament every solstice (already listed as 'Solstice Crown') but may be could do the equinoxes too to get every 3 months!
