Hi,
I love Civolution, and own and have played the physical game. I have not played or beat VICI though.
I would be interested in being an alpha tester, if the physical play experience is enough.

Lunalol wrote: 14 August 2026, 14:27 Hello everyone,

The adaptation of Civolution (Deep Print Games) is in private ALPHA. I am looking for a few players who already know the game on the table to join the tests.

Why "who know the game": Civolution is a big game, and a tester learning the rules at the same time as the implementation cannot tell a mistake of mine from a subtlety of the rulebook. I need people who can tell me "on the table, that is not how this plays out".

————————————————————

What I am after most: beating V.I.C.I

The solo mode is implemented, with its 6 difficulty levels. And as it happens, we have never managed to beat her, not even at the lowest levels.

Two possible explanations, and I cannot decide between them:
  • the automa is implemented correctly and we simply play badly;
  • there is a bias somewhere — a priority in the wrong order, a move she should not be allowed to make, a scoring step that is too generous.
This is exactly where a player experienced with the tabletop solo mode is irreplaceable. If you have already beaten V.I.C.I for real, one game of yours on BGA will tell me what ten of mine will not.

What I would like in your feedback:
  • your final score and V.I.C.I's, with the difficulty level and the table number;
  • any move of hers that struck you as wrong, or that differs from what the solo card says on the table;
  • if you beat her: at which level, and whether the margin felt consistent with your physical games.

How to join

Reply to this thread with your BGA username and I will add you to the tester list. Multiplayer is open too — but solo is what is genuinely stuck right now.

Bug reports go through the dedicated button from inside the game concerned: the report then carries the table number and the exact moment, which lets me replay the situation.

Liens Thanks in advance.
