Menagery & 1 red Dog

Post by Bjorkio »

Is this legit that having 1 blue, dog & menagery played offers an infinite loop?
~> activate dog, draw new card for 1 blue
~> toss card for 1 red 1 blue
~> reanimate dog for 1 res
~> activate again menagerie for 1 blue
~> repeat ad lib.

Consequence?
- Ultmate deck mastery
- Free conversion of 1 red in stock for whatever, ONE BY ONE (imagine hell machine + tooth before that)
- Ultimate controle to block access to a specific book an opponent would need

Worst of all... one can just troll the game and endlessy maintain loop until complete desperation of opponent...

Has this been adressed? (as well as infuser able to move a pearl without spending a gold if player is dishonnest)

Read the Place of Power again. It has the clause "your deck has cards."

Deck ≠ Hand

Deck ≠ Hand

Why does this matter? The point is, it's not an infinite loop because it stops when your deck gets to 0 cards.

I suppose that OP thought "deck" was meant to include the Discard, which obviously would defeat the purpose of the restriction.
There are 4 places where a card can be: in Hand, in Play, in Deck or in Discard.

Except for the Menagery's power, all Draw powers allow to refill the Deck with the Discard content when it's empty, that might give the impression that Deck includes Discard. But the way rules are written, that's not the case.
