We are happy to introduce today Metromania, a metro construction game by Jean-Michel Maman published by Spiel-ou-face!In Metromania, you build a subway network between cities. On your turn, you build 2 different subway lines, trying to connect places like house, work and leisure. During this phase, destination tokens (from A to F) are placed by players.
At the end of the game, the city is doing some "trip test" to determine the shortest path between the two "A" tokens, between the two "B" tokens, and so on. If you build at least 1 tunnel with your color on the shortest path between 2 of these tokens, then you score 3 points (and 3 more points if in addition you placed one of the destination token).
As you can imagine, you may have to cooperate with other players in order to make sure your tunnels are on the "shortest paths", while trying not to give points to your opponents!
Metromania is a really easy to learn game with original mechanisms and we strongly recommend you to test it!
