Game Mode and Turn order

Sorry but I really don't understnad the game mode and the turn order.

Let's say in a 2 player game it is set to "ban factions" and "choose factions".

I get to ban a faction first, then i assume my oponent will get to ban one after.

But there is absolutely nothing to indicate who will get to pick faction first.

My choice of what to ban obviously depends a lot on who will pick first. Could this maybe be made clarer somehow?

Factions are banned in turn order.
Factions are chosen in turn order.

If you were first to choose a faction to ban, you're also first to choose a faction to play.

More or less. You can already tell the order for banning, right? Because it's the first thing that happens? And it's clearly happening in turn order? That's how I remember it, anyway.

Everything else is straight out of the rulebook, which happens in turn order. The only strange thing is the house rule of banning, which isn't in the rules, but was approved by the publisher.

Okay thanks, I don't play that often, and when I do it's often 2 player games.

So my thought process was to ban the 2nd best choice if going first and force the oponent to figure out the best option and ban it. But i was afraid the choice of factions would happen in reverse order.
