Game-breaking bug: Should this game be temporarily disabled?

I know bug reports belong in the dedicated Bug section (and this issue has already been reported multiple times here: https://boardgamearena.com/bugs?game=2185

However, I'm posting here because this bug makes the game completely unplayable. Specifically, players are unable to use army cards to change dice.

Starting a match only to realize mid-game that key mechanics are broken is a waste of time for everyone involved. Wouldn't it be better for the platform to temporarily take the game offline until a fix is deployed?

odd tangent, but can anyone play? that error has happen to me on 4-5 dif games...

is it a game or system db error.

the only thing i know? no refresh, relog, browser or OS change will fix...

Happens to me on every single game - completely unable to use army cards, no matter what I do.

I have played this around 30 times without any bug, just finishing my last game. So it seems to be unclear what is the source of the issue.

Have you tried hard refesh (Ctrl+F5)?

yep, and different browsers, os, mac, windose. . i dont truly thinkis a game bug.. but no way go report random system db problem and get up voets to have visibility.

One of the most voted bug reports https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=225434 speaks about error messages "Unexpected error: Error processing database request". But those appear since some weeks in different games and even outside of games (translation headquarter), so this looks more like a general BGA bug to me.

Or is your Pentaquest bug different? I think we need more information about the context of these bugs. I am using Firefox on a computer, and for me it works fine (solo and multi-player).

Let me jump in because I am experiencing the same issue.

Also using Firefox on Computer, but tried with Safari and Chrome.

Refreshing doesn't fix it. Hard refreshing does not fix it. Accessing from a different computer does not fix it. Accessing it from a phone does not fix it. Even accessing it from a different network does not fix it. Whatever I do I get:

Unexpected error: Error while processing database request (reference: GS4 31/08 10:36:03)

Whenever I try to use a card power in this game. I can reroll, I can grab cards to my army - but I cannot use the card powers! I click on the die I would modify with the power, click the power and get the error. For the +/- power I even get the dialogue asking me to select between + and "-", and when I pick I get the above error (unless I pick an impossible one, such as "+" on a six or "-" on a one, in which case the game warns me this is impossible.)

So, to repeat the steps:

1. Out of free re-rolls.
2. Pick any die.
3. Pick any power on a card you captured, e.g. "+"
4. Error appears, die does not change.

My personal, semi-professional opinion is that this simply is not a player-side issue. Curiously, I have not experienced.this error in any other games but this one.
