Ship limitation?

As far as I know, there are no limits other than physical chits available in this game.

Why are their artificial limits imposed for this online version? Hey - I could be wrong.

"Other than physical chits" means there are limits.

Also, the rule book says this (I think that's what you're referring to):


7.5.4 Purchase Limits: If all Group counters of a particular ship
type are already in play, you may not build new ships of that type
(unless you scuttle ships in one of the groups in order to reuse the
Group counter for the newly purchased ships).

I have the physical version, and there are quite a few counters. Without digging them out, I would say maybe 8-10 of most ships.
So someone put a severe limitation on the ship counters for this bga version. I wonder why?
