It depends if the game and what the dev made to handle what we call the zombie players.
The easiest is skipping the turn. Playing a random possible move is not very hard. Playing smart moves can become very complicated.

I don't think anyone is asking for that, though if game implementers want to try it they would be more than welcome IMO.
