Yeah, I beat him again, and the score was zero again. That must be the explanation.

They stop counting certain games after a certain point, though I don't think it's listed exactly what does it. I'm pretty sure there's at least a time limit to how long the game can be counted, so eventually the streak fades even if it didn't get broken.
