Tie-breaking rule???

Post by Pusteblume03 »

Hi everyone,
can someone please explain to me why, in the event of a tie in final scores, the person with more red stars wins??? After all, the goal is to avoid red stars (minus points). So why does the person with more red stars win in the end???? That makes no sense to me :?: .

I'd guess that it's essentially accounting for the handicap of having the negative stars. If you have more red stars, and you still tie my score, it means that you must have gotten more of the green stars to account for that, so you had greater success regarding the goals of the Architect, Designer and Guests. You don't have to have the BEST manor, you have to have the manor that best fits their specific desires.

All tie-breakers are essentially arbitrary, the players were tied after all.
