Can't play Sushi Go! Two player

When I attempt I'm told that Master Menu can't be played with two players.

And no matter what options I change that's the case, including the version of Sushi Go!.

I’ve played sushi go party with only two of us many times. And I actually think it’s alright. Like you do still have to think strategically.
