Welcome to Piles! Your objective is to arrange face-down cards sitting in front of you into sets of four matching pieces of clothing. Some articles are designed to look similar to trick you. Pay close attention when creating sets.
This game is a race. There are no turns. You all play simultaneously. Speed, memory, and reaction time are crucial to success. The game begins when the four center cards are flipped over. Once the center cards are flipped, you can instantly begin to play and look at your piles. Due to the fast-paced nature of the game, the center cards will become disorganized. Don’t worry, the center cards do not need to remain in a perfect row. They simply need to stay in the middle so all players have easy access, and guess what… we will take care of that.
Keep mixing and matching until all six piles in front of you are matching sets. And then you yell “PILES!” to claim victory. And then you realize that whoever heard you shout is wondering what’s going on. And then you have to explain that you were playing Piles! and that it is a great, simple, and catchy game and you want to play some more…
