Since I have your attention, should I report someone earlier if I think it's a cheating player who has created a new account? Or do I need to accumulate enough evidence as of it was a completely different person? There is some circumstantial evidence to support the two accounts are related at least.
You will need evidence and can use the proper tools to do so. Doing it on the forums is no good...
I'm asking about the level of evidence and the quantity needed. I already have evidence, and if mods agree that it's the same person, then it would connect to previous evidence, which was already enough. But if I need a completely new case that won't consider the previous report, then I probably don't have enough yet.
Since you don't get feedback from a report on whether or not a report was approved/denied or even why, I wanted to ask about the process so I go about it the right way, instead of just submitting reports blindly.
I suspect it's a new account, but I have no tools to prove it. Just circumstantial evidence. Similar playing/cheating patterns, accounts being used, groups joined, friends, etc. None of which is proof, but is suspicious enough to point to the previous player. I'm wondering if the similarities are enough to report, or if I need a full "case" that proves this new player is breaking rules under the assumption that they are a new player who hasn't cheated, instead of trying to show that it's an older player who has. Two different types of cases and evidence needed.
