An experienced, solid player that loses games due to a weaker partner should not drop below 100 elo. They could be the world champion and have a beginner as a partner, and you'll find that they will lose to 100-150 elo opponents so long as their opponents know how to play the game.
Rated team games in Connect 4?

Yup better to gain elo by ourselves. It's more skill because it's all on you and a bit of luck

100 ELO is needed to join tournaments and play Arena, so not dropping below that once you reach it, is fine imho

feels like this went straight to the floor question and skipped what the OP was actually annoyed about, which is how much it moves in a single day. a floor doesn't touch that, it just hides the drop once you're sitting at the bottom. systems that track an uncertainty value per player tend to move a settled account a lot less per game.
