I've played a few games by now, and once or twice I've seen people who missed out on potential opportunities opened up through effects like Combat stims and Stay calm, because they had hit the "Auto pass" button with one or zero cards in hand, not knowing they would be receiving additional cards from another player. Yes, this could be prevented through effective communication, but that is never a perfect solution when the game is semi-cooperative in nature, and withholding information is a core part of the gameplay and strategy... I believe this should be adressed in the game's coding, instead.
My suggestion, should BGA coding permit it, is to make the act of drawing cards (during another player's turn) reset the auto-pass function, allowing the player to re-evaluate their decision to pass at the top of their next turn given the changes to the tactical situation.
Alternatively, add a prompt similar to the player swap we see when using Commands, that require the player to accept and acknowledge that they are drawing cards... it doesn't need to let the player *reject* the effect (since this is not part of the original game's design anyways), but simply function as a confirmation prompt, and possibly also allowing the player to cancel the auto-pass toggle during this prompt, should it not be automatically toggled off.
Please consider my suggestion. Thanks!
