Etiquette Re: play

Post by Bionic Limbs »

It is obviously not against the rules to penalize anyone you want, but there is no etiquette it seems when playing. Example: freezing the highest player not the lowest, etc. this seems to be more of an issue when playing against an obvious team. It takes the enjoyment out of this fun game significantly. This is happening often, and is ruining it for me. How do you deal with this? Any suggestions?

Etiquette in this case is totally subjective.

There can be different situations with freezes. Sometimes you're no longer fighting for first place, but for second, and in that case it can make sense to freeze the player in second place.
Or maybe the player in first place has already collected a 10, 11, and 12, so freezing them would actually help them. In that situation, it's better to give them a chance to draw another card and potentially lose everything. Freezing them would be pointless — they'll either stop on their own or take a pretty big risk of busting.

But generally, really suspicious decisions are easy to spot, and obvious teammates go straight onto my personal blacklist. I've only encountered that once, though. And I have to admit, that team was incredibly effective — their coordinated actions helped one of their players reach the top of the Arena rankings this season.
