October 14 - Server Issue

Many of you were affected by an issue impacting one of our servers overnight (EU time). We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

The issue should now be resolved, and our teams are continuing to monitor the situation closely to ensure stability.

In addition, all penalties resulting from this downtime are currently being removed.

The site has been experiencing 503 errors quite regularly.

This is still posted on the front page along with your philosophy. I have checked both X and Facebook and there are no updates shared there (site issues or maintenance very rarely appear here). As per your philosophy are you going to provide an explanation to the players and will you be explaining why it won't happen in the future. Site instability has been a constant theme I have experienced on BGA and whilst I understand its a complex environment and a lot of effort is made, communication is quite poor if you are expected to pay for such a service.

Our philosophy
Having a gaming service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is not something easy to achieve for a (very) small team like ours. In addition, BGA is a realtime service, and any service outage may ruins games in progress.

Our philosophy is to be transparent on service outages, by explaining why it happens, what has been impacted (and how long), and what we did to make sure it won't happen again. Explaining all of this is the goal of this page.

Also the small team excuse is a bit outdated as they are owned by Asmodee for over 5 years now.

This is underinvestment and neglect on a paid service.

A 24/7 service with no monitoring or no workers overnight is a bit ludicrous.

Is there an ongoing issue with sending push notifications since the server resolution? I haven't received any in the past several hours, with no changes to settings (BGA or phone) on my end
