I run a private group for people I like to game with but I find the group features are pretty weak. I get a lot of folks set up discords etc but there should be some better in portal tools too. A couple I thought of:
1. a group game page showing all the tables open to the group and with long expiry times so that you can set up a bunch of tables and group members can easily see what their group is playing and join in. not as good as a calendar but maybe easier to implement and a huge improvement over cutting and pasting links and trying to get games among friends started. 2. groups could get a certain number of bonus points for things like having active members or having premium members or playing beta games or such that they can donate to members and/or being able to donate points to a group so they can give them out to members. It would let you reward members with temporary premium benefits and also maybe incentivize subscriptions.
3. not so much just for groups, but there needs to be more bling for account profiles and groups etc so the platform can monetize more without overly impacting actual game play features. Don't lock players out of game content, offer custom avatars, group badges and chat icons. Buy a premium toilet flush or good game splash to jazz up your next table.
