You may write a bug/suggestion with more detail in your request.

First, you can discuss your ideas and suggestions in this forum with fellow players. For example, tell us what you don't like about the current replay system, what changes you'd like to see, or ask other users for ideas if you know what you don't like but aren't sure how to improve it.

Then, if you have a specific suggestion to make and want people to be able to vote for it, you can add an entry in the "Bug and suggestions" feedback system with the "Suggestion" category at https://boardgamearena.com/#!bugs . If you have done so, you can paste the link to this suggestion in this forum, so others can vote for it.

You can find some tips on how to use replays here: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31348

What I learned about replays since then: With the current BGA framework, there is no way for a 1-step-back feature (which most people are asking for). It technically just works like a one-way street (like you can't unsend an email).

Kayvon has explained it here https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38631:
"The way BGA games are designed, it wouldn't work. The primary problem is that the state you want to see is in the javascript on your browser, which the BGA server can't see or save.
BGA can save a list of notifications that it sends to your browser, of course, and it "replays" those back to the browser on demand to recreate the state at a given turn. There's no way for them to save the state of your browser on a turn-by-turn basis."

Language is a source of misunderstanding. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince) But it is also the source of understanding - it all depends on how you use it. :-)

It's frustrating to need to toggle the "view player panel in second column" twice just to get it to display in a second column.

By that I mean, if the game was played with that setting, that will be the setting marked in the toggle box, even though the game replay opens with the standard single column player panel, thus requiring toggling to "single column" and then back to "second column."

Replaying during an active game (form the game log, either from a specific place or the "recent" option) I often find useless as it progresses too fast to have time to see what happened.

It would be nice to be able to step forward one move at a time like when viewing a replay after a game has ended.
