Re: Expansions

Post by Airatome118 »

I've had Anachrony for a few years now and have played it several times physically. I have the Infinite Box but not everything the Box came with (My local board game store just had the empty box sitting around and after buying physical mechs minis and other smaller expansions I needed a box to put it all in! It was perfect.)

I just introduced a board game couple to Anachrony yesterday and they moved it to the top of the list of all the games I've introduced them to so far (even above Nemesis, which surprised me!!). It's great news that expansions are in the works, as those would be fantastic to have the whole set of modular/expansion options available as I'll be moving away and this might be our preferred way to play Anachrony as a group once we're no longer local to one another.

I Introduced more people to Anachrony over the weekend and it was a hit.

Still hoping some of the expansion content is being worked on for BGA. If Fractures of Time is too complex to implement then at least some of the Mini-modules would greatly enhance the base game experience (i.e. Variable Anomalies).

The most time consuming part of implementing the expansions apparently isn't development itself. Rather, the three-way communication between dev, publisher, and BGA seems to slow things down.
