As the developer has communicated before it's not BGA making that decision but the publisher FFG. (Both are actually owned by Asmodee though). Send your complains there if you want them heard and effective.

Bsed on many many other BGA games I serilously doubt this. And IF it does get expansions it will probabaly be years...
Most if not all games are developed by volunteers (as far as I know @GTSchemer please correct me if I'm mistaken). That there isn't an expansion for many games I'd simply due to the fact that no-one wants to donate their time to do it, very seldom that BGA or the publisher don't want it.

Given that your best strategy to have a chance of getting it are probably to thank him for his current work and express hope that the expansion will come with the same excellent level of polish.
Ardyn wrote: ↑16 October 2026, 18:15 Yeah, fix this, BGA. The game should be all or nothing - no subscriber-specific components or actions.

While we're at it, don't change 7 Wonders to be 4 Wonders + 3 Premium Wonders, don't change Blood Rage so that only subscribers can draw Loki cards, and don't change Catan so that subscribers always get to choose their placement first.

Edit: Oh, and the cherry on top is that my non premium players had to inform me that they couldn't select from all factions. I either didn't see the warning or it was non-existent.
This is the first game here I've seen (which is indeed a small selection) that limits content per player-premium status and not only depending on the host which I do also feel abit uneasy by.

For all other boardgames I've played here I can pay for premium if I want to start a game with my friends using premium content and they can just join for free. That's also the dynamic in real life. I fully understand that's not anything GTSchemer can do anything about and that's what FFG wants. I do however think BGA could and should consider making that a policy and requiring publishers let the host unlock for everyone as it creates a really bad dynamic where even if I've purchased premium I don't get the premium game experience unless I force the others to pay as well.

The limit on factions isnt a good thing but could be related to the digital version of the game that is also being developed. Its possible that there are non compete clauses that are keeping hands tied and this was the work around.

Something I can add on that topic is that the other version won't have expansions either at release.

At the very least it should be a big banner when clicking to join the game that you may (depending on draft order) be limited to 1-2 factions that no one wants to play. It currently does not say anything about this that I can see until you join the game.
