Full information Draft - but you keep your choices?

Post by Twelfman »

Hi all,

Is there a mode where you effectively Draft, but you keep what you choose? The default Draft seems to be you choose with full information, but you are picking for your opponent. The other modes are either secret, or full information but symmetrical. Is there a full-information, assymetrical Draft mode?

Thanks,

Hi, this topic has come up for discussion before—probably a little less than a year ago. I believe there was a system change back then, and something must have slipped through. The draft mode is covered only very briefly somewhere in a rulebook. However, it also seems to me that the way you’re describing it—aiming to saddle your opponent with a team of duds—comes across a little bit strange. Essentially, I’m just warming up a bit here—and I don’t mean to sound pretentious—but, if I recall correctly from a while ago, Draft Mode used to be different.

That makes sense. My mate and I chose Draft, picked a solid team, and were surprised when we ended up with each other's stuff!

We have the Full Frontal mode, which is drafting, but secret. Was I think we were hoping for is a Draft whereby you alter your choices as you go, dependant on what your opponent has brought, if that makes sense.
