Friend requests disappearing

In the upper right next to my profile icon is the Friends button. Sometimes it shows a 1 there, which I assume is a friend request, but when I click on it, it disappears. I suspect it has to do with an extension I'm using although I've tried turning off my adblocker and that doesn't seem to affect it. Is there any other way to view requests? I haven't been able to find anything in profile options.

The number is the number of your friends which are online, not requests. You should see requests under the I when you click your profile

I don't think you two are talking about the same thing. Yes, there is a number that shows the number of friends online, but I assume OP is already aware of this, and must have noticed a sign different from that number.

Right, normally it just shows the 3 heads but sometimes it shows a 1 underneath it and a color change. Once when I clicked on it, it very briefly showed the name of someone I had just played with then disappeared. Not really a big deal, just thought there'd be some other way to view requests.

“A color change”. I gotta say it’s pretty weird to me that you didn’t mention what colors—what color is it usually, and what do you see it change to?

Me, I see three grey heads when nobody is online and three turquoise heads with a number just to the right, white on a turquoise circle, when friends are online, it’s been a while since I had any new friend requests and I don’t recall offhand what that looks like.

Not really a big deal, just thought there'd be some other way to view requests.

Have you tried looking at your friends page? That would seem to be to be the natural place to see this stuff but, as I say, it’s been a minute since I’ve had a new friend request and cannot be certain.

I often see a color change (the 3 heads in blue), I don't remember if there is a number or not, right after I finish a real-time game. It goes away on refresh or if I click the icon. I'm 99.9999% sure it's not actual "friends" online.
