I’m the designer of Simply Foot, a solo football card game now available in Private Alpha on BGA, and I’m looking for playtesters.
Choose your club and take on a card-driven opponent. Manage your defence, use your midfielders to weaken opposing attacks, and choose when to launch your counterattack.
The key decision: attack now or build up more dice? Resolving opposing attacks prepares your counterattack. When you strike, roll against your Striker’s printed strength. A matching Tactic boosts your shot—or you can sacrifice it to reroll dice after a failed attempt.
I’d particularly welcome feedback on:
Clarity: do you understand your options and what happens next?
Match tension: are attacking, defending and goalkeeper saves exciting?
Difficulty: how do the different competition levels feel?
Bugs: any unexpected effects, blocked actions or display issues.
The interface is currently in English. Card images follow your BGA language preference, with French and English versions available.
