Help me understand scoring please?

Post by mirrordude »

I've been playing this game a lot, but just noticed something in the scoring summary after the game completes that confuses me, here's the summary of our last game:

Total points 149 148 93
Points from the 5 game rounds 73 92 27
Points from the beagle goals 42 54 18
Points from the personal board 27 31 17
Points from the theory of evolution track 48 24 48
Points from coins and temporary knowledge 1 1 1

But for player 1, 73+42+27+48+1 = 191. Not counting the beagle goals (42) gets you to 149. Same logic applies to the other players. So are beagle goals points counted as part of the game round points presumably?

Beagle points are scored at the end of each of the 5 rounds.
So 4 times they are counted during the game.
Maybe the 5th is counted as end of game scoring. not sure
