Validation criteria

Post by MVPic »

What does validate a translation?
I am asking this because I often find translations to portuguese which are obviously done by online tools and, therefore, filled with errors. Some sentences doesn't even make sense, but the BGA member didn't correct it, and it was later on validated. Whoever wants to learn/play the game may have a hard time.

I decided to fix some of those validations, but I can't. I have to play, at least, 10 matches of that game before being able to change anything. But for some games it's hare to find other players, therefore the translation can't be changed. For instance, "Uptown" got to my list today. A few simple changes would make lot's of difference. Is it not worth fixing?

Translations are automatically validated after 30 days without any changes. That's the only criterion for automatic validation.

I agree that it's worth fixing obvious translation errors, even after a translation has been validated. You could ask in your language's subforum if someone would be willing to help update the translations. That might be the easiest way to get those corrections made.
