Moving Infantry between planets in a system

I am having some trouble sorting out how to move infantry between planets within a system with the interface any guidance would be appreciated.

I know it should require activation of the system and a ship with capacity to facilitate the movement,

1. Activate system
2. Select same system
3. Select ships with transport capability,
4. Select troops
5. Button "move into system" or something similar will appear on top panel.
5a. If you have enough movement you can move to other system take troops from it and get back.

Just make sure to not select "skip movement" and then you can transport infantry within the same system (same steps as selecting ships with capacity and then adding infantry) from one planet to another planet, or another system and the activated system.

I have a carrier with 2 movement ability. I want to pick up infantry where it is, move to an adjacent system, pick up infantry there and then move to another system and drop the infantry there.

Is that possible and how to do it in the interface? Would I just move the carrier to the first system and then be able to move it again all in the same movement phase?

Yes, you click each step of the path. The important thing is to add infantry to transport while the carrier is in that system before moving on.
