Real-time score tracker

Post by Palmer »

Do you plan to implement real-time score tracking? It’s a fairly important element of this game, and in a digital version, it should be one of the core features.

Do you mean your current score, or what score you would get at the end of the round?

Your current score based on tiles and all links. Ideally presented as two results: one reflecting the current situation, and the second showing the tally as if all the tokens on the board had been flipped.

It's called "live scoring". For example, Concordia has live scoring as an option. Since you can look at the board and add up all the "flipped tile VPs" and "link VPs", there's no reason to not include live scoring. It's all public information. (In Concordia, to do live scoring, you have to remember what cards everyone purchased, which is available in the replay log.)

I would like a live scoring option as well.

Also, I would like a faster mode than the fast option. When I take my turn and have to wait for my 3 opponents to take 6 actions I find myself wandering around my house, brushing my teeth, taking a shower, and walking back to my computer to see that it’s still not my turn yet.

Yes I’m for a live scoring option too, it would be very useful.

it would be very missleading. if you give scores how do you count fliped tiles? do you double count level 2 tiles in canal? do you now count unfliped tiles? what do you gain from having live scoring?

Support https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=246645 and it might become reality. (It should for turn-based!)

No

No

Having the game calculating the score based on the current board state instead of doing it by yourself. So you could for example know who's currently leading.
