Armadöra

Post by sourisdudesert »

We are proud and happy to introduce Armadöra, a game from Christwart Conrad published by Blackrock Editions.

Armadöra is one of these games you can learn how to play in 1 minute, play a game in 10 minutes, and have a lot of fun :)

The goal of the game is to conquer gold mines of the board. Each mines worth 3 to 7 points. At your turn, 2 possible actions: you can place a warrior token face down (value: 1 to 5) on a free square, or you can place 2 palisades. At the end of the game, the board is spitted in territories by palisades, and all warrior tokens are turned face up. The player with the highest sum of warrior tokens in each territory wins the mine(s) in this territory. Last rule: it is forbidden to create a territory with less than 4 squares.

To win, you should try to place palisades cleverly to ruins your opponents strategies by splitting the game space in unexpected territories. You should also try to pretend to fight for a mine to incite your opponents to spend their precious warriors with high values while you keep them for a better use...

In addition to these "basic rules", Armadöra has an "advanced mode" which introduce special powers in the game. Depending on your race, you get a limited number of power token to use during the game: The Mage player can view some face-down token, the Elf player can shoot warriors to decrease their values, the Orc player can play an additional palisade, and the Gobelin player can play an additional warrior. In addition, each player has a special "reinforcement" token that gives +1 on a full territory...

To cut a long story short: it is simple, it is tactical, it is fun with some bluff. We like Armadöra a lot, and we hope you will like it too!

A big Thank you to the whole Blackrock Editions team for making this game possible!

Enjoy!

I like this game, it's better with team (4 players) or at least with 3 xD.

But, some race aren't balanced really. The Orc only can build 1 time +1 palisades, and the Mage too... their powers aren't useless

Thank you for testing.

The publisher did many testing and each player has its favorite races. The thing is all players has different ones, which tend to demonstrate that races are quite balanced :)

Anyway, we are going to do some stats when a significant number of games will be played, and I'm pretty sure we will have the confirmation of this.

Cheers,

After more than two years, have a "significant number of games" been played to justify the compilation of stats for the purposes of comparing race special power balance? If this has already been done, where may I view the data? Thank you!
