new player question on how to start a game

Hello new person question
I have played three games so far.

How do i send a new game request to my friend to play a turn-based game if they are away from their computer? I noticed the option to send it to their email which i did. then 5 minutes later i see a massage "Game Abandoned". how do i set it so they can jump on the game 10 min, 30 min or an hour away?

you have to click "open the table for players" after you did all the settings you want. so put in your friend to invite him and make sure to reduce number of players if you don't want any other people to join your game.

AWWWWW that is what I am doing wrong
I assumed when I clicked on "Create a new table with this game" then adding the people I wanted that I just had to wait and the game would start.
My assumption if I clicked on "Open table to other players" I was opening a new game or sending an invite for others to play, so i never clicked it.
