BGA is hiring! (a graphic designer)

Post by sourisdudesert »

UPDATE : we found the One. Thanks to all of you that applied to this offer (Note : we'll probably looking from another web designer it in few months from now).

You like Board games (a little too much)?
You like Board Game Arena (a little too much)?
You think that we could do a lot better on the graphical design of this service, and that it deserves a modern and coherent visual identity?

Board Game Arena is looking for a freelance Web designer / Art Director for a series of missions. The goal is to define a strong visual identity for BGA and a professional quality design for this service, for the digital world as well as our printed items. We are looking for someone that would be able to do this without betraying the strong identity & spirit of BGA that already exists. To sum up, we'd like to make BGA looks way better without a revolution.

What is required
  • You are not afraid to work with engineers with an artistic spirit that tends to zero, and busy 99% of the time ("Blue is blue. Are you really saying that *several* blues can exists?").
  • You can send us some piece of work you already realized in the digital domain (brand identity, website design, mobile app, ...), and you already heard about some "responsive design" thing.
  • You're strong enough to face the player community, that won't hesitate to send you to hell if there is one pixel misplaced on some icon.
What would be great
  • You played a big number of games on BGA. Yes. And this is probably the only job in the universe where a big BGA games counter is a good thing for you :)
  • You actually already used the "CSS customization" feature of BGA.
What we don't care
  • The place you are living in (I must admit however that planet Mars would be a little too far).
  • Your mother tongue (however it would be a good thing if you speak a good English - better than us).
  • If you already have a job (this is freelance).
How to apply

Just send a simple email to gisabelli@gmail.com with at least :
  • a URL to some piece of work you realized in the past.
  • your rates for this kind of mission.
"Frequently asked question"

We'd like to give you regular missions. If everything goes well and if the community admires you, we may open a permanent position in the future :)
