Undoable moves

Post by matmot »

I enjoy playing on BGA. However one aspect I find extremely annoying is the general inability to undo moves. The number of times I have had to forfeit games because of a miss-click or a silly mistake makes for major frustration.

I have seen posts asking for this in particular games, but I would like to ask for a general policy of moves being undoable whenever possible.with Existing games can be upgraded on a practical basis.

As long as:
- No other player has made any decisions
- No dice rolling (or equivalent) has occurred
- No secrets revealed (like cards),
then a move should be undoable.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

This should be a major consideration in any new additions.

Tash Kalar should be the shining example for game designers. But even something like Through the Ages (undo the whole turn) is okay.

Still this raises also an unpleasant thing:
maybe you are playing chess, recognize the move of your opponent and start thinking.
It would also be very annoying if the opponent will change his move after you spent a lot of time thinking on the previous position.

So ubout the undo-feature:
make a "confirm" button, which will finaly send your move, after which no undo will be possible.
This I would prefere. It will prevent missclicks and a move-should-be-done-when-a-move-was-done.

Or you can add one more rule to your list:
- No other player has already watched your move

In through the ages, I've just bid my whole army because I was playing on my phone, instead of passing. Bids dont have the undo button.

Can someone look into this ? my game is 19808430, move 560. If we can go back to the move 559 it would be great.

If not, im pretty much game over.

Thank you.

Because some of us has medical issues that make fine motor skills problematic.
