No ELO rewarded. Why?

Post by SimplyShane »

Puerto Rico, Table Number: 20258300

We had a player disconnect on us. We quit the game, but were not rewarded any ELO points. Why? :?:

Yes, i reported it in Keyflower and Dungeon Twister games.

The ELO progress doesn't work.

Hello

There was indeed a bug since February 18th, but only 2 bugs report with 1 vote for it (this is the reason we didn't see them).

It has been fixed now. Sorry about that.

It's a bit difficult to vote for bugs because the search function for bugs is not doing very well. Also I think many users are not very carefully chosing the title which makes searching even more difficult.

I also think the categories are often not appropriate because some bugs appear to many games but players usually report them for the game where they find it.
Check out the Allround-League: https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=7870115 --> a league where you have matches of random games vs. other players in your group. Season 9 registration oct. '25.

It has not been fixed. My ELO remains the same.

Unless of course, you mean that from here on out it will be rewarded correctly, but there is nothing that can be done about the points I already missed out on from this game... :(

Unfortunately this is exactly what I mean. Sorry about that. This regression was a side effect of the fixing of an important bug of the tournament system in February, so during 3 weeks you didn't get ELO points for victories ...

Thankfully that isn't true. I've earned ELO points for victories and lost them in defeat. However, this game was an anomaly.

Another interesting note about the game I mentioned above: It does not show up under my "Games Played" tab. All other games in which a player disconnected early show up just fine.

Sorry if it wasn't clear : of course ELO was awarded for "normal" victories. But it wasn't when an opponent left the game.
