Point differences in tournament

I don't understand the value in column "point differences" in round-robin tournament like this one ?

In quoridor, it is either a win ou a concede victory.
How is counted conceding victory ?
In real-time, it is always written 0-0 in conceded victory.
0 for both ? +1 for winner and -1 for conceding
So for tie-breaks, conceded victory seems not to be considered in the point differences.
Is this a bug ?

Yes, it's a bug because when you concede the game the final result is 0-0. -in quoridor games-

This bug was not only for Quoridor but for all games where score is insignificant.

Now this is impossible to concede during a tournament, so your score always makes sense. There is no interest to concede a tournament game anyway because you always want to make the maximum score even if you loose.

In quoridor, you can concede the game if there is no way to win. As the score is always 1 point, there is no maximum, unless you count something else (shortest path to target).

i noticed that conceding was not allowed in a Chestnut tourrney.

however, in this Palaces tourney matchup: http://en.boardgamearena.com/#!table?table=21359098

the opponent chose to quit the game rather than accept the negative score differential. so a potential -100 point negative became only a single -1. for round.robin tournaments where the score differential is considered in the final tournament rankings, perhaps the score differential at the time of the player's exit should stand ?

Unless, of course, you don't want to waste your's and your opponent's time by having to make every move until a foregone conclusion. Quorridor is always 1-0. If I can't win, saving time by conceding is a fine option for me.

Tie breakers shouldn't be about the game scoring.
Should be better if you use ELO for tie-breakers, I will give you a nice idea:

- Victories will give you X points, it depends of your opponent.
- Defeats give always 0 points

Points are added depending opponent ELO, it's 1 per each point over 1000; so beating a player with 1500 ELO, you will get 500 tie-break points.

In tied cases, both players get 0 too.

Potez 540 won 3rd place in this tourney by quitting out of games where they were behind, limiting their negative score differential to -1.

Estepario deserved 3rd place after recovering from close to a -200 point differential, and playing through all of his matches.
