Developing my own game on bga

Post by SteveTrov »

I have started designing a board game with a couple of friends. Would I be able to develop my game on bga?

If it is your own game then you hold the digital rights to it and thus could create an implementation. You will need to register for the developer studio to get started: http://studio.boardgamearena.com.

Cool, I have applied to be a developer, but haven't received a response yet.

Once I get on I will see whether any of the existing licenses take my fancy.

From memory, you simply need to register on the studio site (rather than applying). You can then see the available licenses and start developing games.

If someone develops a game on bga for playtesting, and then decides to publish a physical version later, can they ask bga to take down the digital version, or does bga insist on keeping the rights to the bga version?
