It depends on 2 variable. What game you are filling and what time your are playing it? If it's popular and peak game, it will fill in seconds. If it's unpopular and on down time, it will never fill.

Undo button!

1) Within 10 seconds of the play (in turn based), or
2) If all others agree (realtime)

Easy question: Through the Ages: is there a chance to ever fix the lingering bugs and adapt some easy rule changes?

Note: this question is not related to the new version that has been released. "Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization" was released in October 2015, featuring: (a) Rebalanced Cards; (b) Rule changes. I can understand that it can be very difficult to implement the whole new version.

As of 2016-04-22, Through the Ages is the 5th most popular game on BGA, but as the newer version becomes more widespread, it will be difficult to prefer BGA than another online platform, where both versions have been implemented. Although, I can credit BGA for having a MUCH better interface.

Therefore, my question regards a few simple rule changes regarding:
- Corruption
- Tactic copying
- Discarding military cards
- Taking back Civil Actions when replacing leaders
- No sacrifices, military cards can be discarded for +1 defence

Which should be easily implementable from a programming perspective. Furthermore, there are a couple of serious bugs on BGA (concerning e.g., breakthrough & revolution), which have not been fixed for years. I had asked in the past about fixing them (as I am a programmer myself) but I got an answer in the lines of "we don't have anymore the source code". :o

Is there any chance of ever getting these errors fixed and/or implementing a few critical rule changes?

I agree with Starbuck about Through the Ages.

However, I'd like to take it a bit further then Starbuck did and say that it would be very beneficial for BGA to make a FULL update to Through the Ages based on the new version that was released last year. As was mentioned, the new version is now out, and other sites will soon make their own updates. The draw for coming to BGA will go down as other options out there with a much improved version start to pop up.

I understand that BGA only has so many resources to spend on game updates. However, this is a pretty major update to a game that draws a good chunk of the site visitors. I know that my entire group of friends has been chomping at the bit for this update, and many of us would prefer to play here at BGA if it were a possibility. The old version that is hosted here has many flaws that are preventing new-comers from starting this game. A re-balance, as made by the latest update, would fix many of these flaws.

Please strongly consider this update. TTA may not be #1 or #2 on this site, but it's high enough on this site's rankings that it should get some TLC every once in a while, and I think now is a great time for that.

I am also in favor of the undo button, especially on turn based games.

Also in Seasons, at the end of a round or the change of a season, when there are multiple cards in play, could the player choose which order to activate each card, instead of this being preset? For example, I would prefer to activate Wondrous Chest before Horn of Plenty. And if it has to remain preset for programming reasons, could we get a list of the order the cards will be activated.

In BGA Backgammon, why does the game not take into account gammons or backgammons?

It is, quite literally, the name of the game!

Not counting gammons or backgammons completely changes gameplay and strategy, in a way that is inconsistent with how the game is universally and traditionally played. It would be as if the Chess game on BGA didn't allow pawns to promote when they reached the opposite side of the chess board — omitting that one rule would completely change the game into something not-Chess. I love backgammon, and I want to play it on this site, but it's not really backgammon when you leave out certain rules.

hey, i just want to echo the suggestion of "undo button". it seems in many situations can be really frustrated for a player to lose tons of points just because a simple silly mistake. Of course it might lengthen the game time, but we already have time limit system and one can kick a player if he/she was taking do/undo for too long. And this undo button can also be optional in settings box. i'd say the mechanism of undoing in Time Master may be a model. thanks for all the great works ;)
