Especially on turn-based games, sometimes people don't see chats right away and it can lead to confusion, particularly if you send a chat referencing something happening in the game.
It would be nice if the chats had timestamps. I recognize that BGA is a world service so the chats could either just use UTC or perhaps we could have a time zone preference in our profile page.
Finally, there's not a lot of space in the chat window so I wouldn't think that every single message must have a timestamps, but a lot of chat services add a time stamp after a certain period of inactivity (so, if there are 10 minutes since the last chat, it drops a time stamp in.)
