Graphic material of a game

Post by locerol »

Hi all,

I would like to start developing Creekos, a game of which there is a licence on BGA, but I do not know the right way to access the graphic material for the game (boards, cards, etc.). Do I have to contact the author of the game to get that? Or does BGA have the material and I have to contact the administrators to ask them?

Thank you!!

Get in touch with the administrators - they will be able to provide the artwork (or request it from the publisher if they don't already have a copy).

Thanks apllo1001!

But what is the right way to contact the administrators? Because I do not even know who they are... Is there an option in the website to send them an email or a private message?

Thanks!

Start here, but don't be surprised if it takes a couple of weeks for a response (they are often very busy): contact(at)boardgamearena.com

Thank you Apollo1001! I have just written an email to them, so now I guess it's just a matter of patience... :)

No worries. If you are impatient like me and want to get started, you could always grab images from boardgamegeek etc. (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/122 ... ame/images) while you are waiting.

There were various reasons why artwork for my current game has not yet been forthcoming but this has enabled me to at least code up most of the game logic...

Yes, I am impatient too :D That is a good idea. I have grabbed the image of the auction board and some card images to get started with the layout...

Thanks again, apollo1001!

If you don't have the right artwork right away, make sure you don't spend a lot of time on positioning, since most of it will probably change once you have the proper artwork.
