Out of time

What am I supposed to do when another player runs out of time? I played a someone recently that ran out of time and I got the penalty.

In my experience, this is caused by a missed connection with the server. It looks like someone else has run out of time, but you get the penalty because the server has lost track of you. I've had this happen to me a couple times.... Not sure why it happens but it does occasionally.

Whenever my opponent seems to be taking more time than usual, I press <F5> to refresh to make sure that I have not lost connection.
Just a little precaution to help keep this from happening.

I have had difficulty of running out time when BGA doesn't even acknowledge that I have an active game.
Now, I can't sign up for any games.

Very frustrated with this setting. I ran out of time on K2 when the game would not let me move do to multiple disconnects.

Am I supposed to wait forever when someone else runs out of time? Do they ever eventually lose the game?
