"Next Table" in turn based games

Post by Mokey D Luffy »

It would be nice if there was a way to click "Next Table" even if you have not taken your turn. Why? Madeira, which is a great game, with what seems to be a very good implementation of it, is impossible to play on my iPhone. When I am on break at work, and this game pops up, I have to navigate all the way back to my games in progress, and click on a random game, hope it is one of the ones that I have a turn, and then hope when I click "Next Table" from there it will take me to a table that isn't Madeira.

I felt the same way with Through the Ages, a game that I could play at work, but sometimes wanted to pass just so that I could get my quicker games out of the way first. But with Madeira, I really am unable to play it unless I am at home, so it would be nice to just bypass it a little more easily.

http://zh.boardgamearena.com/play?from=B

B = the table name.

An ex: http://zh.boardgamearena.com/play?from=22293330, it begins from the table you had typed.

I agree with Mockey: it would be very convenient to be able to skip a table when you do not want to play that game immediately, for any reason (the game does not display well on your device, you want to take more time than you have to think about your move, the game is broken, etc.).
Of course, you can still go back to your games-in-progress list, or enter another game's url, but this is not convenient at all.

1. si la partie est en cours ou terminée ;
2. s'il est l'un des joueurs de cette partie ;

The suggestion in the first reply really isn't that helpful for what I threw out there. Yes, there is a way to figure out what table you want to go to, and then type it directly into a browser, and then go to that table. Not only is this not that convenient on an iPhone, but how am I supposed to know what table to type into my browser? At that point, I should just go to "Games in Progress", click on a random table to see if I have a turn, and just repeat this until I have checked them all.

This is not convenient, and I am not one of those people with 50 games going at once. I think I have ten going right now, and three of them are games that I cannot play on my phone. A nice way to just skip those would help me keep the other games moving along, and would benefit everyone.

This has been suggested before, but I'll add my +1 here also.

+1 for this suggestion.

when you go to "Games in Progress" the tilted hourglass indicates whose turn is active. so no need to open up every game.

Is there a way to do a Ctrl-Click like on a computer? Cause that's what I do. Instead of clicking on the "turns on 4 games" I click on the "6 games in progress," and from there Ctrl-Click whatever game I want. Then do it again for the next. Mostly I'm just trying to put off the ones I want to think about longer.

That is not something that I had ever noticed. All of that stuff is small enough on my phone that I never looked that closely, and anywhere else I am playing I am actually able to take turns on all games.

I would still like to see a change made where you can skip over a game, but that was very useful information you just gave me. Thanks.

That you can't SEE that on your phone should be a hint... :P
