BGA Robots for games other than Can't Stop???

Post by jayjonbeach »

Hi all. Just wondering if the Robot can be played against in any other games?

If not I would LOVE to see this option and Robots developed for other games similar to Boardspace.net

Thanks

Excepting for "Learn a game", I'm not agree for BOTS in Boardgames.

Seriously, boardgames are made for play with other people...

That is why it would only be an OPTION, you know, for slow players, someone that needs to learn the game, the interface etc

Options are ALWAYS good

Can't Stop is a very simple game, so create a robot is fairly easy.

Currently, the need is for bugless games with clear rules ; robots are obviously unnecessary.

I will support robots for other games if those games are ELO off and you can choose the difficulty level of the robot.

I'm sick of seeing players get to the Top 10 in Can't Stop because they're playing the BGA Robot (who is very weak and easy to beat) instead of actual people. Why is this even allowed, and why haven't the mods fixed this? It's clearly a form of cheating.

It is higher luck-based than strategy-based, though.

I would like to be able to play against bots. It would allow being able to play whenever you want & not having to wait on others to join.

Then go to Happy Meeple.

I really don't think of this site as being the place to play against an AI just so you can play the game. I could see having a "dumb bot" for every game just for the purposes of learning the rules/interface and no more. Definitely the ELO should be off and I still can't imagine why on earth the ability to have it on even exists. That was a major oversight.

Choosing the difficulty level of the bot would be very difficult to implement, not to mention that if the point is to help out new players, there's no point.
