In next series both games will appear again!

Thanks for the answer. I was thinking is something like that. What a pity, because both of them are great games :)
I will be waiting for the next series.

I think it would be better turn "ELO on" in tournaments. In some games it is difficult to find opponents but tournament are regular. It isn't difficult to good players to confirm their ranks but it also provides possibility for players with few games reach their real rank faster.

We don't use ELO because high-elo players don't wanna play. You know, you play with your +1800 ELO and join lot of 1300-1500 ELO, you should play with ALL of them and in some luck games isn't easy, 3 defeats with a player of 400 ELO difference cost 90 points of your rank.

We play without ELO because I want that all players can join without think in their elo. Also, if you don't know, Experts and Masters players give good amount in Prestige-pot.

1 Master (+2000) counts like 64 average level players (-1600).

It makes sense in luck-based games. But many games are skill-based. They can be played with ELO.
But i see the main reason "ELO off" that ELO is bad and doesn't suit for BGA.

the ELO option is up to the tournament creator. if you don't like it, don't sign up.

i am in the ELO off category for tournaments that i create, for the reasons that Oso indicated.

Just imagine Usain Bolt who refuses to take part in the tournament cause it can affect his rating. That's what i think about the masters who are afraid of average players and beginners. Atomix series is good. I think it could be better with rating. But i also think that elo is very bad rating system for BGA.
