There could be finally the most appropriate place for this special case :
In the webpage aboute contributing for BGA (fr.boardgamearena.com/#!contribute), among the ways to obtain gift points (and convert 100 of them for 1 month membership), the second line says that we can receive 3 gift points each time a beginner thanks us for helping him on his first game on BGA.
However, one day I helped a beginner and she wanted to thank me by using that, but she never found how to do and I don't know how or where it's due to be done.
I wondered if it wasn't a bug, but we couldn't be sure...
I even came to wonder if this action is still existing or if it's outdated and forgot to be removed on the contributions page... But I couldn't check it by myself, being not a beginner playing first ever game on BGA ^^
Anyway it niggled me enough for I'd like to report it to you...
And I'd like to ask how this action could be done.
As a far away second thought that could be a suggestion to make BGA better, I've sometimes wanted to thank very much someone who helped me on my first time on a specific game I've never tried before (or only 2 or 3 times without really or efficiently understanding the game), and it would have been wonderful if I would have the possibility to make him gain 1 gift point for my gratitude.
Though I perfectly understand that BGA needs concrete financial contributions too
