Chocolate rabbits have nothing to due with resurrection, but it would be difficult to convince many people where I live (United States of America) that they have nothing to do with Easter.

Actually rabbits have everything to do with easter, or at least hares. Easter was originally the feast day of Eostre a germanic celtic goddess. On this day it was common to sacrifice hares to bring bounty in the coming year. Like christmas it was another of the pagan holy days that were co opted into the christian calendar. It is doubtful that these dates have anything to do with the actual dates of the events ascribed to them

It seems to me that Jest is more tolerant than you.

He doesn't mind other people wearing a Christmas hat. He's OK with Christmas hat on other people's avatars. He simply asked to remove the hat from his own avatar.

As far as I've seen, he has never attacked other people because of their beliefs.

Therefore, you are from the UK.

I agree that Christmas was a religious holiday, which does not mean it is still religious.

In my opinion, Christmas is not a religious holiday anymore. All the santa-things, tree, gifts, be-with-your-family, ... are not really related to jesus-stuff, even if some people celebrate the same date as a religious one.

Oh, and "christmas" is called differently in other languages, not reflecting the original relation with christianity ("Noël" in French for example)
