Pixel Tactics questions

Two questions:

1st: I see that someone is working on Pixel Tactics already but was unable to determine the status of that project and was wondering if we could work together and the best way to go about organizing that.

2nd: Pixel Tactics Deluxe changed some fundamental rules. I imagine the rights/license is only for the original Pixel Tactics. When programming game should I be programming original rule set or the updated deluxe rule set?

Based on the studio, recent "Pixel Tactics" project's activity (that is not yours) was December 1st, 3 weeks ago from now. You can possibly message him on working together, although it is unknown whether he(she) still wants to develop that game or it is just left out.

As for the second question, judging from the link from https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/146336 ... e-rulebook, it would be nice to program based on deluxe rule set. Personally, it looks like maybe the license includes deluxe set (it only says "Pixel Tactics" without any warnings near), but better safe than sorry I guess.

Thanks. The other project and all ones with it have same date of three weeks ago. I checked the admin of the project and he hasn't played a game in 333 days. Not sure if around anymore.

My friend got second edition of Pixel Tactics 1 and it has updated rule set so I am going to go forward with that.

Send request to admins about licensing of other version and start developing in parallel, it will probably take you a while to get
to a point to deal with rules differences anyway. As yooyou7 said you can message that person, but they are unlikely around,
and announcing your intentions on this forum is usually good enough.
