New players that go offline midgame resort back to normal time (not double?)

Solution:

If a new player leaves their time is halved back to a normal players time limit to come back online. Prevents beginners walking off mid-game and making a whole table of players wait for their timer to run out.


Problem:

We were playing a game of Sab, and a beginner player went offline after the first round. Quite possibly didn't know there were three rounds.

I have no problems at all with the double time for first game - in fact I love the feature.

However in this game - that meant we had to wait best part of 7 mins each to abandon the game.
(I am quite calm about it, actually. what is 7 mins, but I can see it would get annoying or mean I would be less likely to play with beginners if this happened regularly on big tables.

Has also happened again in this game when opponent is starting to fall behind (also my first game) but this must be pretty common?
